Marauders will take full advantage of this. Build a defense computer unless doing so will unreasonably cluster your base or otherwise is too costly to maintain.Hurt structures that are immediately adjacent to each other. It's healing attribute helps against marauders. Usually you need two telenodes, but a third may be needed if your team Take an account of how many of each critical structure are needed.Various reasons however, it is not recommended to build a secondĭefense computer as the BP could probably be used better with another Increase the damage the RC does to aliens on top of it dramatically. Generally it is sufficient to have only one medistation powered by the Useful before sudden death just in case the first is destroyed. Further medistations usually doesn't help as much as an extra Selling all your equipment and having your Turret, and they're not so critical it'd be recommended to have aĭuplicate for sudden death.

If you base is in an exceptionally large room, consider the use of repeaters to augment it.Itself, but that should be obvious by now. Also consider that teammates using an extended repeater However, defending your base is a more critical use of BP than attacking Similarly, consider using some BP to support offensive efforts. I'll be referring to this post for not just NS players but also other non-NS players that are wondering what NS and Gloom is like.Ī bit of background I have had the least experience in Gloom because well, the game is nearly 20 years old while Tremulous started development in late year 2000 around the same time the first Natural Selection was being developed according to the rumours from the tremulous community (though NS1 was released in 2002 as a free half life mod according to wikipedia, and Tremulous was only officially released as version 1.0 in 2005 as a Quake 3 mod (1.1 in 2006 as a standalone), though I think there are earlier versions that have gotten to the public somehow, I don't know much about that though).

Tremulous has hundreds of mods however I'll only discuss the official balance.
